Dog Licence Fees

Within city limits, all dogs require a licence after they turn 6 months old.

Injured or dead animals

If you see any injured or dead animals, please report them to our office at 828-3409. The phone lines are answered 24/7.

Dog licence fees

• $ 50 - Each un-neutered or un-spayed dog
• $ 17 - Each neutered or spayed dog
• $100 - Each kennel or hobby kennel
• $100 - Each nuisance and/or potentially dangerous dog
• $200 - Each dangerous dog

Dog licence from another municipality

Out of town dog licence's are invalid, but a replacement licence is available for any dog currently licensed in another municipality for a cost of $10.

Lost dog licences

A replacement licence may be purchased for a cost of $10 at the Animal Control Office.

Dog adoption

Adoption Fee: $75 for any dog, plus cost of a City of Kamloops dog licence.
