Open House

The City of Kamloops hosted a public open house last May regarding the future development of West Highlands Park (formerly Aberdeen Highlands Golf Course). The open house was attended by over 100 residents and staff received lots of valuable input. The City will incorporate the public input into a detailed concept plan.

Park Development Updates and Information

Plans for 2013

• Construction is underway on the two playing fields with plans to complete them this year.
• Begin renovations to the former clubhouse building to convert into a Community Centre.
• Preparation of design drawings for the remainder of the park.
• Public review of design drawings
• Post construction tender and award contract
• Start construction of the remainder of the park
