Sandy Desautels

Sandy has been with the City since January, 2008.
Duties
If you stopped by City Hall recently to make a utility or property tax payment, then there's a good chance you've met Sandy at the cashier counter.
Sandy worked on-call clerical for 5 months which "allowed me to see the inner workings of the City as well as meet some of the great folks that work here."
CS: What makes you most proud of the work you do?
Sandy: Taking the few minutes I spend with each customer a positive experience for both of us.
CS: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Sandy: I love to spend time with my 2 year old granddaughter, and enjoy any activity that allows me to be outdoors.
CS: What's your favorite activity in Kamloops?
Sandy: I enjoy the parks here.
CS: If you could smash a world-record at anything, what would it be?
Sandy: Well... I'm already the world's best grandmother, that's good enough for me.
CS: Who has been an inspiration to you? Why?
Sandy: My inspiration has been my best friend since grade 4. She has over come many obstacles and some tough life lessons, and through it all she has remained such a beautiful person.
