Road Construction Updates

1. Hillside Drive Extension - Phase IB Construction
Continued construction of phase one of the Hillside Drive extension, which will be a road crossing the slopes north of Thompson Rivers University, from Summit Drive at the Guerin Creek Estates intersection, to the north end of McGill Road. Rough grading and earthworks were completed in 2008. Construction information will be updated as it becomes available.

Road and utility construction is scheduled from 2009 May 11 through to October.
Construction will involve ROCK REMOVAL AND BLASTING by the contractor, Con-Ex Civil Contractors Ltd. Construction area is strictly off-limits to the public during the construction period for safety reasons.

2. Noble Creek Water Main Extension And Westsyde Road Reconstruction
Construction to install about 4 km of water main and to reconstruct Westsyde Road from approximately the 4900 block to approximately the 6300 block.

Road construction is scehduled from 2009 May 11 to September 30.
Traffic information and control signage will be erected to direct motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic where construction work is actively underway. Expect minor delays. Unrestricted one lane traffic in each direction will be available overnight and on weekends.
