Tournament Capital Grant
Guidelines
Only amateur sports organizations/individuals are eligible.
Events must utilize services/facilities within the City of Kamloops.
For two championships held for the same sport on the same date (i.e. boys &
girls tournaments), then that event is eligible for one grant only.

Funding Allocation
The maximum amount allocated provided funds are available, will be:
* Regional Tournaments must consist of a minimum of four teams, including a host Kamloops team, and a minimum of 50 participants. The tournament winner must advance to Provincial level competition.
Please Note: If applying for a Provincial Western Canadian or National grant the application must include a letter, on letterhead, from the governing sport body confirming the event as a bona fide championship. If no documentation is provided an Invitational Tournament Capital Grant will be issued.
Beginning in 2007, groups applying for Tournament Capital funding will be required to review by the Tournament Capital Committee.
All applications deemed to be eligible will be reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Commission and forwarded to City Council for their recommendation.
Grants will be reviewed and approved for payment on a quarterly basis. Applicants should apply within three months of event date.
Any additional information which you feel will assist the Tournament Capital Grant Committee may be attached.
